THREE DREAMS GUEST PERFORMERS: LISA CALIRI (Piano- Three Dreams I, II, III): Lisa Caliri has performed at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, The National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, Cite' Universitaire in Paris, France, Conservatorio Superior in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Curs International Festival in Girona, Spain, The U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, and the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen, CO. Asorchestral soloist, she performed with the Salem (MA) Philharmonic, the Melrose (MA) Symphony Orhcestra, and the Medford (MA) String Orchestra. She was broadcast on Radio Arad in Arad, Romania, WCRB, WGBH, appeared on WCVB-TV's "Nightshift," and recorded for the CD "Schlummerlied" by Helmuth Fuchs. Miss Caliri was top prize winner of the Pinault International Piano Competition, Clara Wells International Piano Competition, Crescendo Competition for Young Artists, and recipient of the Paris Yamaha Center Europe'en d'Activites Artistiques Scholarship. She is a member of the faculty of the Boston Conservatory. CAROL COLE (Piano- Song Of The Albatross, Ancient Romance, Footseps In The Snow, Ultimately Love, Painted Wings): Carol Cole Psy.D. holds a BA in piano and studied with Gwendolyn Koldofsky ofthe University of Southern California to earn her MA in piano accompanying. LAURA HALLADAY (Flute- Irish Lullabye, Aguilar, A Nantucket Sunset),(Flute & Harpsichord- Daddy's Girl): Laura Halladay has shown herself to be a flutist with a deep and varied talent. Her career base is Los Angeles, working in television, movie and cable/video productions. She has performed internationally including venues such as the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ambassador Auditorium and the Theatre Centre in Toronto, Canada, presenting musical styles ranging from ragtime to Middle Eastern, chamber music to light jazz. She was the recipient of a gold record for her flute playing on the Linda Ronstadt album CANCIONES DE MI PADRE. Most recently she can be heard on Stephanie Bennett's LUMIERE and the Windham Hill release of ANGELS OF VENICE, the group's signature release. JOEL MOERSCHEL ('Cello- Three Dreams I, II, III): Joel Moerschel received his early musical training from Chicago Symphony cellist Nicolai Zedeler and Karl Fruh, Professor of Music at the Chicago Musical College. Advanced studies with Ronald Leonard at the Eastman School of Music earned him a Bachelor of Music degree with distinction and a Performer's Certificate. Recently retired after 33 years in the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Moerschel has been a soloist on numerous occasions with community and professional orchestras in the Boston, Chicago and Rochester areas. An active member of Boston's musical community, Mr. Moerschel has performed chamber music with the Wheaton Trio, the Francesco String Quartet, and with members of the Muir String Quartet, and contemporary music with Collage New Music and Boston Musica Viva. He has given recitals of standard cello and piano literature throughout the United States. With Charles Schlueter, he has recorded the Sonata for Trumpet and Cello by Ives Chardon. Mr. Moerschel has been instructor of cello at Wellesley College and at Boston University's Tanglewood Institute. GREGORY NEWTON (Guitar- Irish Lullabye, Guitar Preludes 1-6:[Still Life, Autumn Journey, Traditions, Nativity, Wishing Well, Watercolor], Carriage Ride, Aguilar, A Nantucket Sunset): Gregory Newton has given concerts, broadcasts and classes throughout North and South America, Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East. He specializes in music of the USA and frequently gives concerts of exclusively American music. He is on the faculties of Glendale College and Los Angeles City College, is president of the American Guitar Society and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Guitar Foundation of America. NICOLE PRYOR (Vocal- Song Of The Albatross): Nicole Pryor is a young, award-winning vocalist. She has received many awards for her vocal talent, including KCET's Emerging African American Artist Award. Singing and studying vocal performance since the age of 12 earned her a scholarship to Pepperdine University where she graduated in December of 2000. She now performs professionally in many venues across the country, including Walt Disney World's Epcot where she has performed with the a cappella group, "American Vybe." She knows that she is blessed to have a career in what God placed her on this planet to do - make beautiful and meaningful music. MARY ANNE STEINBERGER ('Cello- Irish Lullabye): Mary Anne Steinberger is active as a cellist in the television and film industry, with credits including The Cat In The Hat, Matrix Reloaded, Fantasia 2000, King Of The Hill, Futurama, The Simpsons, and solo cello on A Walk To Remember.Ms. Steinberger serves a principal cellist in the Downey Symphony, with whom she recently soloed on the Brahms Double Concerto, and has also appeared in concert with the Pasadena, Pacific, New West, and Long Beach Symphonies, L.A. Baroque Orchestra, and in recital with the Blackbird Trio. In her spare time, Ms. Steinberger can be found on her two Thoroughbreds, "Top Hat" and "Chili" jumping, practicing dressage, and riding the trails of the Big Tujunga Canyon. |
