Susan Centorino (née Hasson) is a second generation Californian. She was immersed in classical music at a young age, beginning with piano lessons at The Valley Conservatory of Music in Studio City, California. Important mentors in musicology and piano have been Charles Galloway (fifteen years in Los Angeles), Alessandra Althoff-Pugliese (Florence, Italy) and Elizabeth Irek Tholberg (Woodland Hills, California).

While in graduate school in business at California Lutheran University, Susan was impressed with a classmate’s wife--pianist Carol Cole’s (MA, USC) original music, and introduced Carol to then fiancé James Centorino (MA, Boston Conservatory). Jim and Carol went on to create music albums, and performed live through the years. The albums "Ivory" and "Footsteps in the Sand" were sold at Disney Resorts, zoos, aquariums and state parks, and broadcast on radio, television and at theme parks, including Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.

"Three Dreams," and "Notes on a Triangle."

Susan began a lifelong dream to compose and improvise music in 2011. Susan Centorino is the composer and performer of "Sous la pluie" ("In the Rain"), the story of a very rainy wedding day in California (Listen Here), and "From The Heart."
